Entry registration: Friday, March 11, from 1-8 pm and
Saturday, March 12 from 9-10:00 am
at the Field House at U.M., Orono;
judging starts at 10 am on Saturday, and pieces must be picked up Sunday between 3:00 and 4:00.

Monson Woodwackers 7th Annual Show

May 7, 2011

Monson, MA
THE BIG WESTERN MASS. CARVING SHOW The Monson Woodwackers show this year will be on Saturday May 7st at the Monson memorial town hall on rt #32 Main street Monson Mass. Early entries will be accepted on Friday from noon to five a.m. They will have cash awards in all divisions plus $125.00 for best of show, $100.00 for peoples choice award, and $100.00 for the most realistic bird sponsored by the Monson Savings bank. They will accept entries on Saturday May 7st from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. Judging will start at 9:00 a.m. and the show will run Until 4:00 p.m. Food will be available on Site and there is a Subway right next door. The Monson arts counsel will be holding their show in the building next door as usual and we share a lot of foot traffic between both shows. They expect that Charlie Dion, Chain saw carver from Vermont will again set up and demonstrate outside for the entertainment of all.

Green Mountain Woodcarvers Annual Show, Peoples Academy, Morrisville, Vermont

The Green Mountain Woodcarvers will be having the 2011 Woodcarvers Rendezvous on Saturday, August 20th. This is the 38th annual exhibit and sale sponsored by the Vermont carvers group. The format of the show has changed as all exhibitors will be asked to do a seminar/demonstration at some time  during the day.  There will also be a banquet friday night before the show.   Anyone interested is invited.

15th Annual Woodcarvers Retreat in New England

Will have 9 formal classes this year and have reserved the same URI facilities as in past years for Friday night through Monday afternoon 4pm; 8, 9, 10 and 11 October 2010.

This is Columbus Day weekend. This facility is a 2200 acre woodland and ponds at the W. Alton Jones Annex of the University of Rhode Island, conveniently located a few miles off I-95 at exit 5B in RI.
