The Country Carver, wood carved signs and plaques

The Country Carver has been creating quality wood-carved signs and plaques since 2002. Each of our signs and plaques begin with select hardwood. Next, they are cut by machine to insure consistent quality. They are then carved with a computer controlled router for a perfect carving every time. Finally, each sign and plaque is finished by hand with three coats of weatherproof, fade proof polyurethane for long-lasting beauty.

Celtic knotwork designs for carving

Create your own Celtic knot patterns for your projects with the Celtic Knot Font! This True Type font lets you design these beautiful and intricate patterns just by typing on any computer keyboard! It works on Mac or PC, in any program that uses fonts (such as a simple word-processing program) and each letter you type is a piece of a Celtic knot! Now you can make your own patterns for carving or decorating your woodworking projects without expensive drawing programs or spending hours drawing them out by hand. The designs can be printed out at exactly the size desired, simply by setting the font size.

Please visit our website at: http://www.clanbadge.com/knots.htm to see how it works and to see examples of woodcarving projects done with the font.

North Bay Forge: Hand forged tools

North Bay Forge was founded in 1987. Toolsmithing has a particular fascination for me in it's technical metallurgical aspects. I graduated from Rutgers University in 1980 with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering. I was intrigued with applying theoretical concepts to highly refined steels that I could hammer on my anvil, heat treat, and then run a myriad of tests to see which ones held up the best. That was the beginning of my education in this trade which has become my life's work. The most meaningful part of my business is having great customers who appreciate my tools.

Simple Life Creations

Our woodcarvings have been made with different looks, back-grounds, sizes, or even added with other pieces. For example, we have carved a largemouth bass out of a " cypress" log, weighing 400lbs and 7ft. tall. All of our selected wood is Kentucky- grown timber. We salvage trees in our area that have been taken down by local tree service companies or state road departments. So some of these trees actually get a " second chance" to live. Perella Photography - looking for shadow box design company

I am a professional photographer who is launching a shadow box design company this year - I have had extremely positive response from future clientele and studios who wish to order and carry my finished products, but I am in need of a woodworker to design/construct the boxes.  I would like to talk with anyone who may be interested in this - would like to discuss cost/payment, design, turnaround times, etc.  It is important to me to offer the best quality, handcrafted, American made product possible.  This business will have high demand, so the opportunity for full time orders is likely.  Thanks to all who respond!
