Sailfest is Southeastern Connecticut's premiere summertime event, complete with a major fireworks display, amusement rides, free entertainment, ships, and over 200 vendors lining the streets. There will be plenty to see, buy, and eat, so make sure to come hungry and ready to try new food!

New England Woodcarvers Carving Exhibition

WHEN:  Friday, July 8th through Sunday, July 10th, 2022

WHERE: Thames River Gallery on 239 Banks Street, New London, CT 06320

New England Woodcarvers, Inc and the Thames River Gallery on 239 Banks Street, New London, CT 06320, 1-800-443-0344 will partner to present an exhibit of carvings on July 8, 9, and 10. All carving levels welcome! Sailfest is visited by over 300,000 people. Banks Street and others will be closed to vehicle traffic so thousands of pedestrians can walk around and view all the venues.

We are SO EXCITED to announce the return of The Mystic Carvers Club annual retreat on Enders Island!!! The setting is beautiful, the food fantastic and it’s a great time and place to spend a weekend on an island in Long Island Sound.

WHEN:  Friday, August 26th through Monday, August 29th, 2022

WHERE: Ender's Island off the coast of Mystic, CT.

DETAILS:

Tuition for overnighters this year will be $380.00 which will include all meals from Friday’s dinner through Monday’s lunch, a bed in a semi-private room and all instructions.

 

Tuition for commuters this year will be $270.00 which will include Friday’s dinner, and lunches and dinners on Saturdays and Sundays, Monday’s lunch and all instructions.

 

As of right now there will be 6 classes offered:

3.  Edsel/Gary….Caricatures

4.  Kathy Webster…Carousel Horse

5.  Carl Borst…Bellamy Style Eagle

Prices are slightly higher than the last retreat in 2019, but you can’t beat staying on an island, in Long Island Sound, off the coast of Mystic, CT in August. Where else are you going to get a deal like that?

Registrations will be posted on April 1st and will be available through our website.

 

Proof of vaccination and booster shot will be required.
